A Secret History / Vogue for H&M, Directed by Balthazar Klarwein

Balthazar Klarwein

Born and raised on the island of Majorca, Balthazar Klarwein moved to Barcelona at the age of 13 where he started making his own skateboarding films. These quickly became internationally known for documenting the early years of what was to become the skateboarding capital of Europe.

Balthazar moved to London in 2009 where he was involved creating video content for the pioneering up-cycling fashion label ‘From Somewhere’. Shortly after he found work with acclaimed photographer Mario Testino as videographer and editor, as well as supervising a number of his large scale tv commercials under the position of technical director.

His visual style connects influences from his late fathers psychedelic artwork and his early years of DIY filmmaking.
